Frequently Asked Questions

How will I be supported throughout the Admission Process?

Each Startup that submits an Online Application to BHive will be assigned a Venture Manager. Your Venture Manager will be your point of contact for each Step and is your coach to help you put your best foot forward. If successfully admitted to BHive, your Venture Manager will also be your coach throughout the Virtual and In-Person Incubation Program.

What is the difference between the Startup Visa Program and the Global Entrepreneur Incubation Program?

Canada's Startup Visa (SUV) Program is a Federal Immigration and Economic Development Program that targets immigrant entrepreneurs with the skills and potential to build businesses in Canada.

To avail of this special Immigration Class, Startups must be supported by a Designated Organization. These Designated Organizations must provide programming to support your move to and growth in Canada.

The Global Entrepreneur Incubation Program is BHive's offering to startups and entrepreneurs the tools, resources and workspace they need to launch their businesses successfully in Canada and North America.

How soon should we start compiling the Due Diligence documents required?

We encourage you to start right away! We request that all documents be shared within 5 business days of the requested date to ensure the Admission Process can continue to move along.

Why do you need all of the documents in the Admissions Guide Checklist?

As part of Canada's Startup Visa Program, we are required to review and approve a number of the documents on the Due Diligence Checklist, such as Proof of Funds or Cap Table. Other documents we need to validate the information presented and ensure we can create the most robust business case possible when presenting our accepted Startups to Canadian Immigration.
