What they did
Customs documents, order emails and bills of lading are read by AI as they arrive. The system, built with qBotica on UiPath Document Understanding, extracts the data, creates the order in the transportation management system and matches the paperwork to the shipment at trailer level. Anything incomplete goes to a person.
Why it matters to a business like yours
Order creation that took 15 to 20 minutes now takes about two, and 30 per cent of orders flow through with no one touching them. When the first system went in, a customs process that 22 people had touched was run by about three handling exceptions, and the rest moved to customer service. The same document is no longer typed twice.
